LaDolla (Yulanda Lindsay) is a 24 years old British singer and songwriter from Doncaster. She studied at the BRIT School, super famous for its alumni as Amy Winehouse, Adele, Leona Lewis and many others. She is a big Spice Girls fan and she says that if she was the sixth spice girl she would have been Diva Spice! LaDolla started her collaboration with Londoner producer Vox Halo in 2011. She put her electrifying vocal skills and he worked on the instrumental track. The result is their brilliant debut single, ‘Criminal’. It is an infectious and fun electro, dance, pop track with some lovely diva vocals and unambiguous pop sensibilities. The video is a good example to understand what you can get without spending millions. A bunch of silver helium balloons, some foil confetti, bright coloured hair and rooms… that’s all what you need for a fresh, fun clip. It’s fair to say that 2012 has been a female year in Pop world. Jessie J, Adele and Rihanna dominated the charts and here comes a new diva: LaDolla, with this pretty catchy song.
